Cantor
The cantor functions as the leader of song. A cantor is a "minister of care who presents a Psalm after praying over it and studying [it]." -Peggy Lovrien. It is the responsibility of the cantor to connect with the assembly and ensure that the people are able to sing the liturgy.
Cantor rehearsal for St. Ann students is every Monday at 7:25a.m. in the church sanctuary. Cantors must be active participants in Liturgy Choir. Students spend time in rehearsal on vocal technique, so they are the best singers they can be. Most importantly, they learn to be leaders in music ministry.
