Made for Praise choir will sing 2 songs during our school mass on Wednesday, 5/16/2012.  M4P singers will go to their classrooms upon arrival, as usual and sit with their classes during mass, as usual.  There is no need to arrive early.  

They will sing "Precious Jesus" at Presentation and "Tell the Word" as a post-communion song of praise.

Tuesday, May 15, 2102 is a duds day for cast and crew of The _urloined Letter.  Cast members can wear their play tee shirts with jeans.  Crew members can come in duds.  Please make sure that all attire is uniform policy friendly!

8th graders will play for their performance evaluation on May 17, 2012 during class time.  The evaluation is 40% of a student's grade for this cycle.  Students should have specific information about the evaluation written in their planners.  Information is also posted in power school.  Good luck!

Liturgy choir will sing for Confirmation Mass this Friday evening.  Choir students need to stay after school, if at all possible.  

Students will set up the sound system in the church and rehearse.  We will have quiet/homework time.  Home & School will provide dinner.  Plan to pick up your child around 7:15pm.

I could use 1 parent volunteer to assist with dinner.  That means, I need someone to watch for pizza delivery and help clean up while the girls get dressed for mass.  We should eat from 5:00-5:30.

We will wear our standard black on the bottom and white on the top.  Please see my web site for further details regarding attire.

Confirmation starts at 7:00pm.  Students who can’t stay after school will need to arrive no later than 6:15p.m., and meet in the church for warm up.

Greetings all!  Today will be the last rehearsal for Boy Choir until after the play.  Boys Choir members are invited to sing with the Liturgy Choir during this time, if they wish.

Play rehearsals begin today and will run every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00 to 4:30 until production week.  Cast only for the next week or so.  Crew will be selected by the end of the week.

Hello, everyone.  This is a friendly reminder about our participation in worship at Vine Street Christian Church this Sunday!  Some of our 3rd grade Made for Praise members, along with several Liturgy Choir members and a few other students who wish to join us, will help Vine Street celebrate African sacred music. 

St. Ann students will join Vine Street’s Chancel Choir and Children’s Choir to sing Hope For Resolution.  (Our students sang Hope for Resolution as the closing song for our Christmas program this past December.  You may recall that the song weaves a centuries old chant with a modern Zulu freedom song.  And, it was AWESOME!)  Here are the details:

Where:  Vine Street Christian Church, 4101 Harding Pl (right beside MBA, directly across from St. Cecelia)

When:  February 19, 2012

Time:  Arrive 9:45am for warm up in Sanctuary, Worship starts at 10:45 (will last about an hour)

Attire:  Liturgy Choir wears black on the bottom and white on the top.  Others wear church appropriate clothes (with an African flavor if you like) or you can dress in black and white like Liturgy Choir.  Please do not feel that you have to make any special purchases for this event. 

Renowned Gospel singer, Shawn Tate, will also share 2 songs that day.  I’m excited that some of our students will have the opportunity to hear him sing, as well.
